🎨 The Story Behind the Art

There is something peaceful about watching a sea turtle move through the water.

There is no hurry.

No noise.

Just a gentle rhythm as it glides through a world of shifting sunlight and color.

That feeling inspired Turtle Reef.

I wanted this piece to feel as though you were looking through an enormous stained-glass window into another world—a place where turquoise water surrounds you, sunlight streams down from above, and two sea turtles quietly make their way across a flourishing reef.

The turtles became the heart of the composition.

Their shells are filled with jewel-like pieces of emerald, turquoise, amber, sapphire, and deep ocean blue, giving each one the appearance of a tiny mosaic traveling through the sea.

Below them, the reef bursts with life.

Coral rises in shades of fiery orange and purple. Fan-shaped shells catch the light along the ocean floor. Small tropical fish weave between strands of seagrass while bubbles drift slowly toward the surface.

And above it all, sunlight breaks through the water.

Those rays were especially important to the feeling I wanted this artwork to convey.

Because this isn't really a picture about the ocean being vast.

It's about the peace we sometimes find when the rest of the world feels far away.

For anyone who has ever stood at the edge of the sea and felt themselves become a little calmer, Turtle Reef was created with that feeling in mind.

• Because each item is made specifically for your order, returns or exchanges are not accepted once production begins. However, if your item arrives damaged, defective, or there is another problem with your order, please contact us and we’ll do everything we can to help
