Apparently, the excavation was going very well… right up until something started climbing out.

Carnotaurus Fossil Pit transforms your floor into a prehistoric excavation site where cracked earth appears to collapse into a deep fossil bed—and one very much alive dinosaur is bursting toward the surface.

Ancient bones and fossils line the rocky walls below while a roaring horned Carnotaurus charges upward through flying stone and dust.

The result is a dramatic 3D illusion that makes it look as though 65 million years of history just opened beneath your feet.

🦴 This Dig Site Has a Problem

At first glance, it looks like an extraordinary fossil discovery.

A prehistoric skull rests among the rock. Massive ribs emerge from the earth. An ammonite fossil lies embedded in the excavation wall.

Then you notice the enormous dinosaur in the middle.

With its distinctive horns, powerful jaws and mouthful of teeth, the Carnotaurus appears to be exploding straight out of the pit as loose rocks tumble around it.

So much for extinction.🌋 A Prehistoric Pit Beneath Your Feet

The overhead composition helps create the dimensional effect.

Cracked earth forms the outer surface while layered rock walls descend into a deep excavation below. Fossils scattered throughout the pit reinforce the sense of depth before the Carnotaurus surges upward toward the viewer.

Its oversized head, reaching claws, flying debris and forward movement make it feel as though the dinosaur is breaking through the boundary of the artwork.

From the right viewing angle, your ordinary floor suddenly becomes a prehistoric escape route.

🦖 Made for Dinosaur People

This design brings together dinosaurs, fossils, paleontology and optical-illusion art in one conversation-starting floor mat.

It’s especially fun for dinosaur lovers, fossil collectors, prehistoric décor fans and anyone who never really outgrew the excitement of imagining dinosaurs walking the Earth.

Use it for a playful entryway, dinosaur-themed room, game room, Halloween display or anywhere that could benefit from one extremely unexpected prehistoric visitor.

It also makes a memorable gift for the person whose dinosaur obsession survived childhood right along with them.

🧟 Your Monster Is Made to Order

Your welcome mat will be custom-made upon order and professionally printed using dye sublimation, helping reproduce the rich shadows, eerie green glow, electric blues, and weathered industrial details of the artwork.

🦴 Some Fossils Should Stay Buried

They thought they had discovered an ancient fossil bed.

They found the bones.

They uncovered the skull.

They documented the remains.

Then the ground began to move.

Carnotaurus Fossil Pit captures the exact moment an archaeological discovery becomes a very different kind of encounter.

Because sometimes the most important question at a dinosaur excavation isn't:

“What did we find?”

It’s:

“WHY IS IT MOVING?”
