✨ FOLLOWING THE LIGHT. TRUSTING THE JOURNEY.

Before the manger, there was a road.

Beneath a deep blue, star-filled sky, Mary and Joseph make their way toward the glowing city of Bethlehem. Above them shines the brilliant Star of Bethlehem, while a golden pathway winds through the hills toward the place where the Christmas story will unfold.

This beautiful Road to Bethlehem Glass Cutting Board captures not simply a destination, but a journey of faith.

Mary carries the promised child. Joseph walks faithfully beside her. Bethlehem remains in the distance, and yet they continue forward—one step at a time, guided by a light shining through the darkness.

Rendered in luminous stained-glass-inspired artwork, rich sapphire blues meet warm gold, amber, and earth tones to create a Christmas piece that feels peaceful, reverent, and filled with expectation.

Display it in your kitchen throughout Advent and Christmas, use it when gathering family around the table, or give it as a meaningful Christian gift to someone walking their own journey of faith.

Sometimes faith is simply taking the next step toward a promise you cannot yet see.

🎨 The Story Behind the Art

Before Bethlehem became the setting of the Christmas story, it was a destination somewhere ahead in the darkness.

That is the moment I wanted this piece to capture.

Mary and Joseph are still traveling.

The city glows far away on the hillside. The road stretches before them. Above everything, the Star of Bethlehem shines like a promise in the night.

There is something deeply moving about this part of the Christmas story because they have not yet reached the manger. They are still between the promise and its fulfillment.

Mary carries Jesus as Joseph faithfully leads their journey toward Bethlehem. Around them, the landscape is quiet and vast, rendered in layers of midnight blue, sapphire, turquoise, and deep green. Against those cool tones, the winding golden road almost seems illuminated from within, drawing the eye from Mary and Joseph all the way toward the distant city.

And high above Bethlehem, the brilliant star becomes the visual heart of the piece.

I wanted the artwork to feel like an old church window telling a familiar story in a slightly different way—not by showing what happened when they arrived, but by remembering the faith it took to keep going.

Because so much of faith happens on the road.

When we do not know exactly what waits ahead.

When the destination still seems far away.

When all we have is enough light for the next step.

They could see Bethlehem in the distance.
They could see the star above it.
And so they kept going.

🖌️ About the Artwork and Images

Every Mallard Moon design begins with a creative vision and is brought to life using a blend of human artistry and AI-assisted creative tools. I personally refine, edit, compose, and prepare each piece before it becomes the finished artwork featured on our products.

Some listing images may feature AI-generated lifestyle settings or models to help you visualize the artwork in a home, kitchen, or gifting environment. Product-focused images are provided to represent the item you will receive as accurately as possible.

Please note that the artwork creates the visual appearance of stained glass through a two-dimensional printed design. The cutting board itself is tempered glass and does not contain individually assembled stained-glass pieces.

🎁 Gift Orders

Road to Bethlehem can be especially meaningful for someone entering a new chapter, waiting for an answer, or simply needing the reminder that faith does not always mean seeing the entire road ahead.

It can make a beautiful Christmas gift for parents, grandparents, newlyweds, Christian friends, pastors, ministry families, or anyone who treasures the Nativity story.
